      Deleting your account

Deleting your account is permanent and final. Your data leaves our servers, your sign-in is closed out, and the app data on your phone is wiped. There's no soft-delete and no archive — once it's gone, it's gone.

🛠️ How to delete your account

      1. Open Settings.
      2. Tap Account & Backup.
      3. Tap Delete Account.
      4. Read the warning, then type the word delete to confirm.
      5. Tap Delete my account. Confirm one more time.

The app shows a progress screen as it wipes everything. When it's done, you're signed out and dropped on the welcome screen.

      What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account. Specifically:

      ⏱️ How long it takes

The progress screen does the work right then and there. Most accounts finish in seconds to about a minute, depending on how much data you've built up. When the screen completes, you're signed out and back at the welcome screen.

      📦 About the "30 days"

Your live data is gone the moment the progress screen finishes — there's no soft-delete or archive copy of your account. We do keep encrypted system-level backups for up to 30 days as part of standard infrastructure practice (disaster recovery), after which those roll off too. No one is reading those — they exist only to recover from failures, not to look at user data.

      🧹 After deletion

You can sign up again with the same email — Apple/Google/our system give the new account a brand-new identity. The old account has no link to the new one; you start fresh.

      💬 FAQ

      Some data didn't delete.

If you saw a "some data couldn't be removed" message after delete, your sign-in was still closed but a few rows lingered. Email support@looknapp.com with your account email and we'll finish the cleanup manually.

I deleted by accident — can I recover?

Within 30 days, sometimes — email support with the original account email immediately. After 30 days, the backups expire and recovery isn't possible.

I can't open the Delete Account screen.

Make sure you're signed in (Settings → Account at the top should show your email). If you see "not signed in," sign back in first, then try again.
